Frequently asked questions
Which scan formats do you accept?
We accept standard intraoral scanner output in STL format. Scans with attachments are fine.
What if I don't have my scan?
If you have already had your teeth scanned, you can request a copy from the dental practice or clinic where the scan was taken. Ask for the files in STL format.
Do I need to order through a dentist?
No. You can order a retainer directly.
Can you make just one pair?
Yes, we can produce a single pair or a single retainer.
Can you make a new retainer from an old retention foil?
No. We do not duplicate or make a new retainer from a physical old foil, even if it still fits well or is damaged.
What other source materials can you use to make retainers?
We can also make retainers from a 3D scan of the teeth or from your own physical jaw model.
Can I provide my own plastic jaw model?
Yes. A retention foil can be thermoformed on your own model without a new impression, scan, or orthodontic examination. The model may be damaged during processing.
How long do production and delivery take?
Usually within a week; add approximately 2 days for delivery.
Is express production available?
Yes. Express production from STL files is available for a CZK 500 surcharge, and we dispatch the parcel within 24 hours.
How do I send you a scan?
You can e-mail STL files to info@tenvo.cz.
Where do you deliver and how much is postage?
We deliver throughout Czechia and Slovakia. Postage is CZK 150. Payment is made in advance.
